Overview

THE ROLE:   

The role encompasses managing a small team of staff to deliver high quality financial management services to a large dental practice. The practice is based over several sites and is growing – current turnover is ~£12m.

You will be responsible for ensuring that overall service delivery is maintained and managed with staff adhering to agreed deadlines.

In addition you will be responsible for the production of management information and business KPIs and being involved in the general financial management of the dental practice.

Responsibilities:    

  • Ensuring clients receive a service provision to the expected standards and on time.
  • Managing a small finance team.
  • Managing expectations of both staff and clients to ensure the correct service is being delivered and that your team is focused on our priorities for service delivery.
  • Dealing with client senior management to ensure they are receiving the agreed service levels and information to run the business. 
  • Identifying additional client needs and presenting solutions to clients as part of the ongoing relationship.
  • Budgeting and financial control of expenditure. 
  • Challenging the client to ensure budgets are achieved. 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANIDDATE:    

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant.  
  • Able to build strong relationships in a business context with both clients and staff.
  • People and resource management experience – a track record of delivering a high quality service through a team. 
  • Able to provide clear commercial views on business trends and deliver management accounts and business information to clients with confidence.
  • Able to deal with client requests and queries with confidence and able to prioritise work.
  • Able to constructively challenge the client – using effective communication and negotiation skills whilst maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship. 
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting software.
  • Experienced in implementing new CRM/ERP systems within an organisation.
