THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen with a highly successful and growing manufacturing organisation to find an
experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team based in South Leeds. Reporting to the Finance
Manager, this opportunity is an all-round finance supporting role dealing with purchase ledger,
supplier payments, sales ledger, payroll, reconciliation work and month end tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting the management accountant with month end tasks
  • Processing expenses and logging for PSA purposes
  • Preparing the annual P11D submission
  • Generating payment runs, prioritising proforma payments
  • Paying weekly and monthly wages
  • Providing holiday cover for sales ledger and payroll
  • Ad hoc finance tasks as required.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Strong financial accounts assistant, experienced within a busy environment
  • Have a track record of completing tasks to deadlines
  • AAT studier (helpful but not essential)
  • Accurate with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent organiser with strong prioritising skills
  • Able to self-motivate, flexible in approach
  • Full of initiative to suggest improvements to processes, etc
  • Able to work both independently and effectively within a small team
  • IT confident
  • Proactive, willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
