Overview
THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen with a highly successful and growing manufacturing organisation to find an
experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team based in South Leeds. Reporting to the Finance
Manager, this opportunity is an all-round finance supporting role dealing with purchase ledger,
supplier payments, sales ledger, payroll, reconciliation work and month end tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting the management accountant with month end tasks
- Processing expenses and logging for PSA purposes
- Preparing the annual P11D submission
- Generating payment runs, prioritising proforma payments
- Paying weekly and monthly wages
- Providing holiday cover for sales ledger and payroll
- Ad hoc finance tasks as required.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Strong financial accounts assistant, experienced within a busy environment
- Have a track record of completing tasks to deadlines
- AAT studier (helpful but not essential)
- Accurate with a high attention to detail
- Excellent organiser with strong prioritising skills
- Able to self-motivate, flexible in approach
- Full of initiative to suggest improvements to processes, etc
- Able to work both independently and effectively within a small team
- IT confident
- Proactive, willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
